Renewal Church is a family friendly community of believers. It's our passion to help people engage with the heart of God through Presence driven worship, powerful Word, and practical application for everyday life.
On November 12, 2017, a group of people gathered for prayer and worship in a room above an ice cream shop in Apopka, Florida. They were people from all walks of life and several nations, though some had never met each other until that day. The common ground was that there was a stirring in their hearts, a passion to seek God with all of their being. In the weeks that followed, the group meeting for prayer and worship grew in numbers. There was no doubt that God was doing a mighty thing. They felt led of God to form a new kind of church, one that would focus on those who needed to be rescued, redeemed, and restored. God placed a dream in their hearts to have a church where all people can find grace, mercy, forgiveness, and healing.
Renewal Church is currently still meeting above the ice cream shop, and is grateful and amazed by all that God continues to do. We have plans to build a permanent home in the very near future (2335 Appy Lane, Apopka, Florida) We'd love for you to join us on this journey!
Children
Kids Life Ministry includes babies through 5th Grade students. Each Sunday, during the worship service, children learn about God in an age appropriate setting, with fun lessons, songs, and activities that keep them engaged and passionate about learning more about Jesus. Children will learn biblical concepts that they can apply to their lives, even at a young age: "God made me, God loves me, Jesus wants to be my friend forever." Older children will learn to experience who God is, how He sees them, and how much He loves them. Renewal Church has a secure electronic check in/out process to keep your children safe as you worship. We require a background check for all adult workers. Please arrive a few minutes early to allow for the check-in process.
Youth
Student Life Youth Group meets Wednesdays from 6-8 pm at 2335 Appy Lane, Apopka (future home of Renewal Church). All Middle & High School students welcome! We provide a free meal, games, student led music & worship, relevant Bible Study, and tools for students to grow in their faith & impact their world. Youth events range from relevant Bible Study to games and summer camp at the beach. Students learn to take ownership of their faith, discover who God created them to be, and develop a passion for loving others. They learn that God wants a relationship with them, doesn't care how many likes or follows they have, and that they can trust Him to help them become who they were created to be. Student led outreach in the community also demonstrates God's love to others. Everyone is welcome and accepted. We're all new here, so it's easy to fit in!
Outreach
Renewal Church is a community of imperfect people serving a perfect God. We are all in this together! You can connect with the Renewal Community in many ways. One of the best ways to connect is in a smaller group environment. Connect Groups are a key aspect of our church community. Most meet in the home of a group member (usually the leader's home). No matter your stage of life, there is a group for you. Most Connect Groups meet weekly, with food and families (kids need community too), but some meet only for activities (like a 5K), for coffee, or for outreach in the community (like feeding children in need). Renewal Church has multiple types of Connect Groups: Sermon based deeper learning groups, Activity/Outreach groups, Bible Study groups, and Topical/Interest groups. We are passionate about connecting with the greater Apopka Community and are very intentional about reaching out to people in need.
Statement of Faith
The following is the adopted Statement of Faith of this church, representing the core beliefs that will govern decision making.
A. The Scriptures: We believe in the verbal plenary inspiration of the Scriptures (both the Old and New Testaments) and that “all Scripture is given by inspiration of God (II Timothy 3:16).” We believe that the original autographs are without error because of the work of the Holy Spirit as He moved each man to record the words of God (II Peter 1:20-21).
B. God: We believe in one God with three eternal distinctions: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are the same essence (John 1:1-2), but separate in personalities (Matt. 3:16-17; Matt. 28:19-20; II Cor. 13:14).
Team
The founders of Renewal Church are represented by the current Board of Trustees. The board is responsible for the foundation of Renewal Church, and represents all branches of ministry structure, ranging from Biblical Teaching, Operations, Worship, Children, Youth, Biblical Stewardship, Outreach, and New Building Construction.

Worship
Renewal Church Worship was born out of the richness of a group of people gathered in an Upper Room, seeking the face of God. As His Presence poured out through worship songs, powerful messages, and persistent prayer, the dream of renewal became a reality. Renewal Church Worship is Presence-driven, rather than Performance-driven. Voice, song, and environment reflect the vision of cultivating the presence-driven worship culture and environment of Renewal Church and beyond. We believe that Worship, Word, and Prayer are the key ingredients to the ministry of Renewal Church. We cultivate an environment for all to engage with the Spirit of God in a real and intimate way through Worship, Prayer, and God’s Word. We invite you to worship freely and allow God to move uninterrupted. You are welcome to stand, sit, or express yourself in acts of worship. The altar (front of stage) is always open for prayer. We connect to the Power of God through His Word and His Wisdom - at each age level. Our “Kids Life” Ministries are for Nursery - 5th Grade students, where we also teach worship and invite children to engage.

Connect Groups
Connect Groups are a key aspect of the Renewal Church community. Regardless of your stage of life, one of our basic human needs is "connection".
Renewal Church has a variety of Connect Groups for you to connect in a smaller environment: Bible Study/ Deeper Learning groups, Activity/ Outreach groups, and Topical/ Interest groups.
Most Connect Groups meet weekly for Bible Study, food, and family time (kids need community too), but some meet only for activities (like a 5K, dinner, or coffee), outreach in the community (like ministry to underprivileged students or feeding families in need), or ministry/events..
We are passionate about connecting with the greater Apopka Community and are very intentional about reaching out to people in need. Everyone welcome!
